Who We Are

Minding Miracles at Beacon Achievement Center is a New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities day habilitation provider. We deliver services to adults age 21 and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Established in 2017, we offer participant-centered support designed to meet individual meeds, unique strengths, and goals that are designed to help each individual meet their full potential.

What We Do

We have built our program on integrity, respect, and positive, practical support that helps individuals grow with confidence. Guided by research-based practices, we introduce skills in a thoughtful, step-by-step way so skill acquisition feels manageable, meaningful, and lasting. Our goal is to help each person move beyond challenges and discover greater independence, purpose, and fulfillment in everyday life.

How We Do It

Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, we create flexible, customized approaches that coordinate behavioral health support, daily skill development, and meaningful community experiences. To support continued growth, we provide engaging, hands-on experiences that strengthen social, cognitive, communication, and daily living skills through art, science, fitness, culinary activities, and meaningful community outings.

These opportunities encourage participants to explore new interests in safe, structured, and enriching environments. By combining individualized support with active participation, we help adults build practical skills, develop lasting relationships, and foster a stronger sense of confidence, belonging, and connection within their community.

Our Mission

We are professionals dedicated toward specialized education, honoring the integrity of the human spirit.  We are grounded in behaviorally oriented, innovative programs, designed to alter the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families.  Our emphasis goes beyond traditional educational pragmatics toward embracing uniqueness, acceptance, and love.  We shape the vision of what's possible in the relationship of our participants to peers, society, and the world.

Minding Miracles was founded on the principal that all people are entitled to the opportunity to participate in their community, free of judgement, stigmatization and restrictions.  All people, despite their strengths, challenges or abilities have something unique to offer society.  Minding Miracles seeks to provide participants with the opportunity to engage in activities that promote self-actualization & fulfillment.
